Whipping a spade end fishing hook

This is my alternative way of whipping small spade end hooks Only because I am not that keen on hook tyers This is a size 20 hook, held in my un-hooking forceps Thread the line between the jaws behind the hook From the point towards the outside of the
hook Rotate the forceps and whip the line on to
the hook shank from the bend towards the spade Grasp the shank of the hook and hold the line in place and release the forceps Thread the tail end through the small loop
at the hook bend Pull the line above the hook to close the
loop Tighten the knot Put the hook back in the forceps and pull
the knot up to the spade Ensure the line comes off the hook on the
inside of the spade Please visit my website Amateur Angling for more on fishing.
