welcome to Littlejohn’s Yarn today we’ll
be making these baby Nike sneakers and if you want to see more patterns like this
don’t forget to subscribe to my channel because I have two new patterns every week
we’ll hop right to the tutorial today we’re going to be using a 3.5 millimeter
crochet hook and worsted weight yarn I’m using Lion Brand’s Pound of Love in
black and pink we’re going begin by making the sole my sole was in the color
black but for visual purposes I’m going be
creating a sole for you guys in the color white so you can see better we’re
going start by chaining 11 I already chained 11 insert your hook we’re gonna
place two half double crochets in the second chain from hook one to first half
double crochet second half double crochet now we’re going to place seven
single crochets in the next stitches so one next stitch two three four five six and seven we’re gonna place a
half double crochet into the next stitch and six half double crochets into the
very last stitch one two three four five and six now we’re going to be working
down the opposite side of your chain so we’re going to place a half double
crochet into the first stitch followed by seven single crochets one two three four five six and seven and
we’re going to half double crochet into the very last stitch and we’re going to
slip stitch to join into the very first half double crochet you should end up
with 25 stitches now we’re going to chain one place two single crochets into
the very same space one two we’re going to single crochet into the next eight
stitches one two three four five six seven and eight half
double crochet into the next stitch now we’re going to place two half double
crochets in each of the next six stitches there’s a half double crochet
place another half double crochet into the same stitch so that’s one two half
double crochets into the next two two half double crochets into the next three
two half double crochets into the next four two half double crochets into the
next stitch five and two half double crochets into the next stitch and that
would be six now we’re going to half double crochet into the next stitch now
in the next seven stitches we’re going to put a single crochet one two three four five six and seven now we’re going to put two single
crochet into the very next stitch one and two and we’re going to slip stitch
to join into the very first single crochet you should have a total of 33
after this one so slip stitch to join next we’re going to chain one we will
half double crochet into the very same space and now we’re going to half double
crochet into the next 13 1 two three four five I’ll meet
you when you hit 13 we’ve completed those thirteen stitches around the side
and now we are going to place two half double crochets into the very next
stitch so here’s your first half double crochet and put your second one into the
same stitch and now we’re going to half double crochet into the next four
stitches one two three and for place two half double crochets
into the next stitch so here’s your first half double crochet and then to
the same stitch place another half double crochet and now we’re going to
half double crochet into the next 11 stitches 1 2 3 I’ll meet you at the
completion of 11 stitches we’ve completed our 11 stitches now we’re
going to half double crochet 2 in the next two stitches so let’s start with
your first half double crochet into the same stitch put another one that’s your
first double half double crochets into the same space let’s do it one more time
two half double crochets into the next space one two and slip stitch to join
and fasten off you should have a total of 37 stitches next we’ll start building on your shoe
one more thing for a thicker sole you can take two and sew them together it’ll
give a sturdier look to your tennis shoe okay we’re gonna be building up on our
shoes we’re going to attach the yarn to the back loop we’re gonna be working in
two back loops only of your shoe you’ll notice this little white scrap yarn
here because I have trouble locating my first and last stitches and sometimes I
make too many stitches so this helps me stay at 37 alright so attach your yarn
to the back loop of your first stitch chain 1 and single crochet into the same
space back loop single crochet into the next one make sure you weave in your
ends as you go and back loop single crochet into the next we’re going to
back loop all the way around I will meet you at the other side after you complete
all your black back loop and double crochets I made it around to my last
stitch and we’re going to slip stitch to join but you see how I notice I put the
marker for the very first stitch which is over here and the last stitch that’s
so I know is the very last dish because sometimes it can leave a big space and I
tend to put an extra one there so you guys don’t want to do that so think
about putting the marker so you can always keep a track of how many stitches
you have so let’s slip stitch to join like I said you should have a total of
37 single crochets for that last row chain 1 if we’re going to single crochet
into the same space and Brooklyn a single crochet in each stitch across ok
guys single crochet in each stitch across and I’ll meet you at the other
side ok guys we made it back round quick thing if you guys like more tutorials
like this I put out 2 patterns a week make sure you click that subscribe
button and so you can see more videos more often
all right so we’ll slip stitch to join chain one we are going to single crochet
into the next nine stitches so single crochet into the same one so that’s one two three four five six seven eight and nine we’re gonna half
double crochet into the next space and now we’re gonna place two half double crochets
together in the next four spaces hope that makes sense so let’s do one half
double crochet together I may do mine differently than yours but
this is my half double crochet together so that’s one let’s do another half to
crochet together into the next two stitches first stitch second stitch so
this is your second half double crochet now we’re going to do four double
crochets together in a row so let’s do our four double crochets together
there’s your first one so that’s one double crochet together
second one that’s two double crochets together working on a third one three double crochets together and let’s
do our last one alright that was your fourth double
crochet together now we’re going to place now we’re going to do two more
half double crochets together oh that’s a tongue twister so let’s start with
your first half double crochet together one let’s do your second one two half double crochets together so now
we’re going to half double crochet into the very next stitch now we’re going to
single crochet into the very next ten stitches one two three four five six seven eight 9 and ten you should have 29 stitches in
this row and now we’re gonna slip stitch to join
I forgot slip stitch to join and actually fasten off your work and make sure you weave in your ends next
we’re going to put stitch markers in so we can mark exactly where the heel of
your foot is so fold your work in half this side is the toe and this is the
heel so when your work is folded in half count three stitches back on each side
so this would be one two three I want to mark place the stitch marker there and
on the other side is one two three I’ll place a stitch marker there just like so okay we’re going to be
working into the front loops of our work so turn so the toe of your foot is
facing your right hand side find your first stitch marker and insert your hook
into the front loop and we’re going to attach our yarn with a slip stitch and
we are going to single crochet front loop of course into the very next stitch
not the same but the next stitch okay and now in both loops single
crochet into the next stitch remember both loops this time and now single
crochet two stitches together that’s the first one and the second one our single
crochet together now and now we’re going to place 16 single crochets into the
next 16 stitches one two three I’ll meet you at the completion of 16 oK we’ve
completed those 16 stitches so now we’re going to single crochet together the
next two stitches single crochet together those two stitches so that’s
one single crochet and now single crochet into the next space and working
in the front loop single crochet front loop in the next stitch front loop only
and we are going to slip stitch into the very first marker in a front loop be
careful not to stretch your yarn now chain 1 turn your work we’re going
to skip the very first space because you know how we usually work into the same
space we’re going to skip that one and single crochet into the next and we are
going to single crochet all the way around but we’re going to stop before we
get to the very last stitch I’ll meet you at the very last stitch and we’ll
work it together oK we’ve made it back around but what I actually meant to say
stop when you make it to the last two stitches so right now we’re on the last
two stitches of this um row so what we’re going to do we’re going to skip
the next stitch and slip stitch into the very last stitch there we go
where you’re going to chain one and turn your work once again we’re going to skip
the very first stitch this one and single crochet into the next okay now we’re going to single crochet
together so let’s single crochet together these
next stitches and single crochet together the next 12 stitches one two three I’ll meet you at the completion of
12 single crochets you completed those 12 stitches and now we are going to
single crochet together the next two stitches so we’re in a first and the
second and now these are single crochet together single crochet in the very next
stitch and we’re going to skip this stitch and slip stitch into the very
last stitch chain one turn your work once again
we’re going to skip the first stitch and we are going to single crochet into the next fourteen stitches
hope that made sense so skip the first and let’s start our fourteen single
crochets one two three I’ll meet you at the completion of fourteen alright we’ve
completed those fourteen single crochet so once again we’re going to skip the
next stitch and slip stitch into the last and we’re going to fasten off for
work here’s what our shoe looks like so far
next we were going to be working on the tongue area to work on a tongue I
suggest you turn your work inside out and find those original back loops that
you didn’t work in from the previous rows here’s the first back loop and
there’s the second so this is where you’re going to catch your yarn single crochet into that same back loop
which looks like the front loop now single crochet into the next front loop
or since it’s inside out the previous back loop now working in both loops
we’re going to single crochet across the next four one two three and four once again we made it to the
sections with the back loops so working into the back loop put a single crochet and the remainder stitch right here that
was a back loop which looks like a front loop now single crochet into that chain
one turn your work we’re going to place two single crochets into the same stitch
one two now across the next stitches put a single crochet one two three four five and six
and place two single crochets into the very last stitch one and two chain one
turn your work and place one single crochet in each stitch across you should
have ten single crochets so in the same space one two three I’ll meet you at the
completion of your ten okay we completed those ten chain one for the next row
we’re going to repeat the same thing place one single crochet and each stitch
across I’ll meet you at the completion of these ten single crochets we’ve
completed those ten we were going to chain one turn your work we’re going to
place two single crochets into the very same stitch one two we’re going to place
one single crochet into the next eight stitches one two three four five six
seven and eight we’re going to place two double crochets and I’m sorry two single
crochets into the last stitch one and two that should be a total of 12 so
we’ll chain one and turn your work we’re going to place a single crochet in each
of 12 stitches across so your first one will go into the same space that’s one
and two and complete your 12 single crochets across I’ll meet you at the in
D or 12 we’ve completed those 12 and we’re going
to chain one and now we’re going to finish off the top of the town for the
first one we’re going to skip the very first stitch and single crochet into the
next stitch half double crochet into the next two stitches one two place one in
the next four stitches put one double crochet one two three four in the next two stitches
place one half double crochet so one that’s a half double crochet and two is
a half double crochet and we’re going to to single
crochet into the next stitch and slip stitch into the last and we’ll fasten
off for work and weaving their ends okay now we’re going to take our work and
turn it the correct side way out now we’re just going to put a nice
little black trim around the top of the shoe we were going to connect black yarn
to the very base of your very first single crochet that connects to your
tongue so attach your yarn and chain one stitch now evenly single
crochet into the very next stitches and we’re going to crochet all the way
around okay I’ll meet you at your completion on
your single crochets go all the way around and down to the base I’ll meet
you there we’ve made it back around and we’re
going to slip stitch into the base to finish off and fasten off your work
I would fasten off mine but I can’t find where I put my scissors and next we’ll
start working on the Nike swoosh now we’ll be making the Nike swoosh swoosh
I’m using a three point 25 millimeter crochet hook and the same yarn for my
pattern I use a black but for visual purposes so you can see better I’m using
white yarn you’re gonna start by using a slip stitch and then we’ll chain 9 one two three four five six seven eight
nine we’re going to place four half double crochets and the third chain from
the hook so one to place your four half double crochets into the third chain one two three and four place two half double crochets
in the next stitch one two now we’re going to single crochet into the next
four stitches one two three and four we are going to slip
stitch into the very last stitch and fast and off your work to get the
nice little point at the end of your Nike swoosh I just take my work knot it
and pull and there’s your Nike swoosh create a
matching set for the opposite side of your shoe and all you have to do is put
the swoosh emblem on either side of your shoe next we are going to be working on
the lace and the lace is pretty simple I’m using my ship same hook the 3.25
crochet hook and I am going to chain a hundred and
fifty I won’t make you watch but I’ll meet you at the completion of your 150
stitches once your chain is all done lace up your
shoes and put on your Nike swoosh guys if you like this tutorial please don’t
