you haven’t already heard about them wool in the gang is a really cool company which sells needed clothes accessories jewelry making supplies yarns patterns basically everything for knitting lovers that will make them really unique is that you can buy from them ready-made things or you can make them yourself if you’re feeling crafty you can purchase a knit kit like the one that I’m going to show you today and they will send me all materials tools and patterns needed to create peace of your chores okay so without further ado let’s jump into the tutorial knitting me softly necklace kit comes in this big bag and inside I’ve got pair of 12 millimeters Rosewood knitting needles metal crimp pants pair of many pliers one swing needle knitting me softly pattern and this little brochure you’ll find detailed yet easy to understand instructions for three different necklaces and three difficulty levels beginner easy and intermediate and last but not least I’ve got a cone of Jersey because yarn and this beautiful peachy color perfect for upcoming spring and summer and what’s really amazing about their Jersey yarns is that they’re made from recycled factory off cuts they work with fashion factories to focus their fashion waste into new yarns to reduce landfill okay so let’s get started I’ve picked intermediate level pattern so it means that we’re going to make twisted rib eye cord first I’m going to leave about 30 centimeters yarn tail and then I’m going to cast on four stitches using the cable cast on technique I’m going to make the initial slip knot simply by wrapping the yarn around my fingers and then pulling the yarn through the loop net sampling tightly and we already have our initial Slipknot I’m going to place it now on my right knee and that’s going to be our first stitch to make second stitch I’m inserting the right needle knee twice into this slipknot and then I’m wrapping the yarn around the neck clockwise then you want to scoop the right move forwards now we have a stitch on the right and also we want to slip the stitch onto the left needle we have two stitches now moving on to the third stitch I’m going to insert the right needle between the two stitches and just like before I’m wrapping the yarn around the needle clockwise then I’m skipping the needle forwards and finally I’m skipping the stitch on to the left needle now we have three stitches to make fourth stitch I’m going to repeat previous steps so once again I’m inserting the right needle between the two stitches I’m wrapping the yarn around the needle clockwise I’m skipping the right needle forward and I’m slipping the stitch onto the left needle now it’s time to get knitting pull the needle with the stitches in your right hand and insert the tip of the left needle into the last stitch knitted from the left to right slide the stitch onto the left needle you want to repeat this with the remaining stitches until all four of them are on your left needle remember to always use the yarn from behind the work for knitting this pattern now I’m going to insert the right needle into the back of the next stitch on my left needle and I’m going to wrap the yarn clockwise then I’m pulling through in my stitch which by the way is called twisted stitch is ready now we are going to purl the second stitch so I’m placing the yarn in front of my work I’m inserting the needle into the front of the stitch from right to left then I’m wrapping my yarn around the needle anti-clockwise and I’m scooping my needle backwards finally I’m releasing the old page of the left needle we’re going to knit the third stitch twisted so again I’m inserting the right needle into the back of the third stitch on my left handle and I’m going to wrap the yarn clockwise then I’m pulling through and finally we’re going to purl the last stitch again place the yarn in the front of your work insert the needle into the front of the stitch from right to left then wrap the yarn around the needle anti-clockwise and scoop the needle backwards finally release the old stitch off the left needle now it’s time to slide the stitches onto the left needle so hold the needle with the stitches in your right hand now insert the tip of the left needle into the last stitch knitted from left to right slide the stitch onto the left needle and repeat for the remaining stitches I know it may look like a crazy mess right now but trust me it will be beautiful in the end so don’t give up and just repeat these steps until your knitted piece measures around 46 centimeters so we want to need the first-stage twisted route ii need the first twisted curl the fourth then slide all stitches on your left needle and repeat after about half an hour of knitting my piece measures around 46 centimeters and it’s finally time to cast off in order to make an edge that one unravel for my final row I’m going to need the first two stitches we’re going to use normal need not the twisted version so I’m inserting the right needle into the first stitch from left to right I’m going to wrap my yarn around the needle clockwise then I’m going to scoop the needle forwards and finally release the old stitch of the left-hand needle as I said I’m going to need the second stitch as well you and now using the tip of the left needle I’m lifting the first stitch up and over the second stitch and then slipping it off the right needle now we have only one stitch on the right needle next I’m going to again need the next stitch from the left needle then I’m lifting the previous stitch over it and off the needle as we did previously you want to repeat these steps until you cast off all the stitches on the left window and have only one stitch left on the right needle now I’m going to cut the yarn leaving about 30 centimeters and I’m going to pull on the last loop until the end pops through now we have finally secured the last stitch at this point your necklace should look something like this and it’s time to finish it off by attaching a metal crimp to the end of each strand of yarn okay so place the crimp around the Strand of yarn open up the end of the Strand so it turns into a little piece of fabric place this piece over the crimp to protect it from getting scratched by the pliers and then use pliers to press the crimp together trapping the yarn inside then I’m going to tie a knot close to the crimp to stop it from sliding at the yarn and now work knitting myself a necklace is ready I’m really happy with the final result and I think it’s going to be my go-to necklace for this spring and summer as it’s such a versatile piece it can go nicely with dress or just with simple t-shirt and jeans and you will definitely bring a nice pop of color to my blackened grade wardrobe I’m definitely going to make more necklaces for my girlfriend’s as I have lots of yarn left so I’m excited to try other tooth patterns I really hope you’ve enjoyed this different than usual tutorial it
