How to Knit Yarn Over twisted into the Back Loop to avoid hole (Knit through the back loop, kbl)

Hi Everyone, welcome to Free Cute Knit video tutorials on how to Knit Yarn Over Twisted into the Back Loop to avoid hole. This video tutorial is a special request I
made, so Cathy thank you for waiting and this one is for you .. 🙂 So in this video I have previously knitted
a swatch of garter stitch, and in the last row I have made some yarn overs. In this next row, what I want to do is to
show you how to knit yarn over twisted into the back loop. I’ll just be knitting until we get to the
part where we need to do this yarn over twisted. So here is our yarn over stitch, you can spot
this easily because the yarn over stitch is very loose. So when you knit normally you just generally
insert your needle and knit. But to go through the back loop, you want
to go in between and insert your needle through the back. Let me show you. So, like this. Inserting your needle through
the back and knit. And you’ll notice the twisted stitch you’ve
created. So I’ll keep going and show you again. Just going to keep knitting until we reach
the yarn over stitch. Okay, here is our yarn over. So instead of
going through the front, you want to go through the back loop. So inserting your needle.. I’ll pull this
stitch so you can see it better. Inserting your needle through the back loop
knit wise and knit. Again, inserting your needle knit wise through
the back loop, then knit. I’m going to keep going until the end, because
in previous rows I have actually knitted some yarn overs without them twisted, so I can
show you the difference between the twisted and the untwisted one. So again, instead of going through the front
like normally you would, you want to go through the back loop. Right here, and then you knit. Okay, so you can see that when you create
yarn overs, you create this big hole which can be used as decorations when knitting lace
and other things. So this hole is created when I’ve just been
knitting them normally without twisting the stitch. So now I am just going to knit some more,
so I can show you the difference. So, see in here.. the hole was created from
knitting the yarn over without the twist. When you twist you actually don’t really see
the gap as much. Thank you for watching, if you like this video
and want to see more please like and subscribe. As always thank you so much for your support,
and lots of love and hugs. I hope to see you again next time. Bye ^^
