How to Cut Crochet Faux Locs into a Bob► Natural Hair Protective Styles

Hey curlfriends and welcome back. For today’s tutorial, I’m going to show you
guys how to cut crochet faux locs into a bob. So, I’m nearing the end of my protective style
and I’m really looking for a change. I went ahead and grabbed my cutting cape to
go ahead and protect my shirt. I’m just going to go ahead and create a deep
side part so that we can begin cutting these locs. I’m grabbing two locs at a time to go ahead
and create that guideline cut. This is going to be the length that I personally
want my locs to be when I cut them short. I’m going to use those two locs as a guideline
for the rest of the hair. I’m going to grab extra long locs and add
them onto the small ones so that I know exactly where to cut and they’re all even. This is pretty much synthetic hair so I’m
not really worried about having professional scissors or shears at all. These are just some regular old box cutting
scissors. They’re just some regular Scotch scissors. I’m just going ahead and cutting that entire
side. For the opposite side, I’ll match up the two
locs that are adjacent to each other to create a guideline on the left side. I honestly just pretty much free-handed this. I wanted more of a slightly long-short asymmetric
bob kind of look. So, I left the left side a little bit longer
to make up for all of the hair that is flipped over on that side since this is a really deep
side part. Here’s what I came up with. It’s a really simple and easy fix. It gives you some more time on your natural
hair protective style. You can also go in and spice things up with
some loc jewelry. You guys know that I get my loc jewelry from
the Beauty Supply Store. I got a whole entire pack, I want to say about
20 pieces or so for $1.99. I’m just using this loc jewelry, it’s like
a little cuff. It just wraps around the loc and you just
tighten it into place just like a bead. It gives it a lot of spice and effort. It looks like your hair is naturally this
short. I think I love these locs shorter vs long. You guys let me know in the comments below. I love you guys and I’ll see you guys in the
next tutorial!
