How to Crochet Teardrop Stitch for a Blanket and Scarf Stitchorama by Naztazia

Hi I’m Donna Wolfe from naztazia.com
Today i’ll show how to crochet the teardrop stitch. To begin chain 34 or any
multiple of four plus two. Skip the first five chains and make three double
crochet stitches in the next chain. One two and three. Chain one. Skip the next three chains
and make three double crochet stitches in the next chain. One, two, and three.
Chain one. Skip the next three chains and make three double crochet stitches in
the next chain. One, two, and three. Chain one. Keep repeating this process
across the row. At the end make two double crochet in the very last stitch instead of the three. And you can change colors if you want to
at this time. Chain two and turn. We’re going to work in each of those
chain 1 spaces. In the first chain 1 space make a double crochet. An extended treble crochet that goes
into the middle of the skipped chain three from below. And another double crochet. Chain 1. In the next chain 1 space make a
double crochet, a treble crochet into the middle of the
skipped chains from below, and another double crochet. Continue with this pattern across the row. Instead of the three stitches at the end
just make two double crochet stitches. Change colors if you wish. Chain 2 and
turn. We’re going to continue with the same process as before. In the chain 1
space make a double crochet, a treble crochet, this time going into
the middle of the three skip stitches from the row below. And a double crochet. Chain one. In the next space a double crochet, an extended treble crochet, and a double crochet. Chain one. Continue with this pattern
across the row. As before two double crochet at the end. Continue repeating
this row three for as many rows as you wish. For your very last row to avoid those
chain 1 gaps, instead of making a chain one between
your three stitches, make a single crochet instead in the middle of the
three stitches from the row below. So make your doubles and treble and then a
single crochet on the top. And as before end with the two double crochet. And
that’s how I make the teardrop stitch. To get more videos like this please
