Easy Crochet Baby Headband Bag O Day Crochet Tutorial #55 Subtitles Available in 21 Languages

everybody its crystal and today I’m
gonna show you how to make this quick and easy little baby headband I made it
for my sister she’s having a baby so I’ve had you post a lot more little girl
things on here if you want to see them I thought just it was really quick and really easy um I think I made it probably
newborn size but you can make it any size that you want it’s just a
any multiple to multiple 5 so you can adjust it around your child’s head
so but it was it was really quick and I think it turned out really cute so let’s
go get started on it for this project I am using a size F it’s a three
point seven five millimeter crochet hook and then I am using just regular 4 weight
yarn with me then care on simply soft yarn okay you want to start with a slipknot okay for this project you want to do a
chain and multiples of five and if you’re doing a big headband you need to
make it bigger probably just measure if you can measure it let me see here okay then you get multiples of five I
got you just want to put it together and see if you think that’ll be big enough
for your doing a for a bigger child mine is for a
newborn or three maybe three months oh and I think this is gonna be a good I
did I did it China 50 and like I said it has to be multiples of five so whatever
number you end up on it has to be five has to be able to go into it in order
for this to work out right and that looks about right to me like I said I’m
not measuring perfectly but I think it’ll stretch little bit so I did 50
and but my is probably going to be for a newborn
I don’t really have one here to measure and if you’re used to making it for a
bigger person just wrap it around their head and measure baby or whatever and
once you got your multiple your chain and multiples of five you want to add
one more and that’s going to be for the turn chain so we want to single crochet
in the second stitch from the hook we don’t count the one that’s on a hook we
skip that one and go right here that’s why we did that extra chain one
because it’s getting skipped just kind of single crochet into it like that and
now you want to skip two stitches and then third one we need to do five double
crochets in to the same stitch so there’s one two three four and there’s five now you want to
skip the next two again and then the third one right here give a single
crochet like that now you want to skip 2 and then a
third one we’re gonna work five more double crochets and this is the repeat
this is really easy one, two three four five doubles and then you want to skip
the next two and then the third one over do a single crochet just like that and
then you want to skip the next two and then the third one we’re going to do
five double crochets again one, two three four five skip two and in the third one
single crochet skip two and in the third one do five doubles so we just want to
repeat this pattern until we get to the end of the chain so I’m gonna go ahead
and do mine and I’ll meet back at the end
if you didn’t come out even on the end… like this just doesn’t count
come out right for you it’s okay because that’s where we’re going to sew it
together and attach a flower so you’re not gonna see it if you messed up just a
little bit like if the stitch if there’s an extra stitch or just missing life
it’s not gonna be a big deal so now what we’re gonna do is we’re going to turn
our work and then we’re gonna do a single crochet and the first one if
these two what we’re doing actually we’re just matching the stitches that we
just did like I just came from here this in I’m gonna slip in it and I’m gonna
match the stitches on the other side so I did a single crochet because I ended
any single crochet and like I said if you have an extra stitch or something
it’s not no big deal you’re not going to see it just when we sew it together I
mean it’s not were there so I’m gonna skip these two stitches and writing this
inner circle I’m going to do five doubles one two three four five and then I’m going to see where I
should get these two and then I’m going to do a single crochet right here or I
did a single crochet the other side and then I’m gonna skip these right here and
go right into the center circle and you five doubles one two three four five
right here where I did this single crochet on the other side I’m gonna go
right on top of it and do another one and then I’m coming over here to the
center and doing five double crochets I’m all twisted in here two three four five right here or the single was and do
a single and then work my way down here five doubles here single here five
doubles here single all the way back down to the beginning and this is gonna
it’s going to kind of look like and then once we get done there we’re gonna I
hope it’s big enough I think that it’s gonna stretch so then we’re going to sew
it together and put a little flour on it so go ahead and finish all the way to
the end here to get all the way to the end on down here
I just single crochet it into the first single crochet that I did and now I’m
going to tie off and I’m gonna leave a little bit of a long tail so that’s what I got okay
I’m going to use my yarn needle and I’m just going to sew it together real quick and I must sew my good sides together
like this and I’ll hold it together probably at the high one tail I’m just
going to take it and just do a few it’s a couple little stitches because I’m
gonna sew the flower in the same spot too so it’s going to get sewed together
again it’s going right through the top so that
stitches okay just like that so it holds together and I’m going to go ahead and hide these
tails off camera so you don’t have to watch me do that I’m just going to leave
them in the back so together there and then just stretchy so put that to the
side I’m gonna make a flower then I’m just
using the same kind of yarn I hate it when I pull the sinner string
out of the yarn and then half the skin comes out with it this is a big big mess
okay you want to start with the slipknot and I’m using the same size needle it’s
just a 3.75 and you want to do a chain of four and then you want to slip stitch
back in the first two for a ring now we’re gonna chain one to start off
now let’s do I’m going to do a single crochet through the center of the ring
so just go into the center and do a single crochet and then I’m going to do
a chain of two I’m gonna go back in to the center and do a single crochet and
I’m gonna do a chain of two go back into the center do the single crochet and
then I’m going to do a chain of two again and I want to do this a total of
six times so I have six of them chain two spaces near the center and do single
crochet on to I can pull your yarn around to make it tight in there keep
moving it around the ring okay this is my last time Jane long or single crochet
I’m sorry chain two that’s my sixth time so now I
want to come back over here to my beginning to that chain one space that I
made in the beginning and I wanna sub stitching to it and that will close that around out so I
should have six of the little chain two spaces that we did now I want to chain
one and I’m gonna start making the petals so I’m just going to reach right
on over here to the first chain two space and do a single crochet and then I
want to do two doubles into the same space do you and then I want to do another
single crochet like that and I want to jump on over here to the next chain two
space and do a single crochet and then I’m going to do two doubles in the same
spot too and I want to do a single crochet in the same spot then I’m going
to jump over here to the next chain two space and get a single and then two
doubles and then another single and that’s going to be the repeat in each of
the chain two spaces you need to do a single two doubles in a single and you
should have six little petal points when you get back around huh
I got my little petal point things petals whatever you want to call it and
I want to slip stitch into the first single crochet on this first petal and
then I want to do a chain three and I’m gonna carry this chain three over here
to the first single crochet on this pedal which is right there slip stitch
and then I want to chain three again carry it over to the first single
crochet on this petal right there slip stitch chain three
first thing we’ll crochet on this pedal which is right here slip stitch just
through this all the way around chain three my yarn split try it again okay then when you get back here to the
beginning you just want to push these chains to the back and push the pedals
to the front like that and then I have one more left here I just want to try to
reach a behind here and just slip stitch it into this chain space this first
chain three space that we did and then you should have that chain three behind
every push that on that do that behind every one of these little toes
you should have a chain three and that’s what we’re going to use to put more
petals on so you want to chain one and you’re in this you want to go into this
chain first chain three space and do a single crochet and then this time we’re
going to do four doubles one two three four and then one more single and then
you just want to jump directly over here to this next chain three space that we
did with a single crochet and then or war doubles three for work and then single crochet
and you want to jump directly over here to the next chain space here and do a
single four doubles in a single having the worst time with this yarn
splitting on me I think it’s because I’m working with a smaller needle than usual
and jump over to this next space single for doubles to AH three or and then
single jump over here to the next chain three space and repeat and then you have one more space here
jump over to it and do the single four doubles and the single for okay then you want to just slip stitch
right here in this beginning stitch that any one right there and then you can tie
off and leave a long tail so we can sew it on to the headband okay I’m gonna go ahead and so in this
just tail back here I didn’t hide it as I went so I’m gonna go ahead we’ve been
in there a little bit quick okay then I’m just going to sell this on with my yarn needle I’m gonna start though right taking this
since the tails up here I’m gonna leave it down here so it’s starting in the
center here just weaving in and all the way down till you get to kind of in the
center so you can start sewing it on from the center Shea and you want to find where you sewed it
together and that’s where I’m gonna throw this on where I sewed it together
so I’m just gonna go straight through that like I said to you and I’m gonna be
able to see this you match the stitch in the beginning hold on here and I’m just going to do a
few stitches through it probably just go through the center go back down the side so on the best what you can and try not
to make the stitches too visible I just usually popped through the center here
and then I discard right over here I want any spaces that they’re not way you
can see and then back through the center of my flower and then I’ll just these
faces here back through the back and then you can’t really can’t really yep
see it that well when you do it like that back through the shower just through this space right here here okay and you just want to do that until
it’s sewed on pretty tight and then you can hide your tail and I’m going so mine
I’m gonna go hide my tail I I finished up find my selling everything and that’s
it I think that’s I think it turned out pretty cute don’t forget to subscribe to
my channel and you can check out my facebook page too and post anything that
you want on there it doesn’t even have to be maggot or anything this is
whatever you make I like to see it everybody else on they would like to see
it and until next time have a good day
