EASY crochet BABY BOOTIES, # 2386

hi everyone this is Emi today I’m gonna
show you how to make some very easy baby booties so let’s get started I’m going
to work with worsted weight yarn and I’m using a 5 millimeter crochet hook and
I’m going to start with chain 20 okay I have chain 20 crochet in
the second stitch from the hook there’s the second stitch and in each stitch all
the way across the row single crochet in each stitch all the
way across the row okay I worked all the way across the row at the end of
the row chain 1 and turn single crochet in each stitch across the row working
only in the back side of the stitch so working in the back side of the stitch
single crochet and work in each stitch all the way across the row , all the
way across the row okay I worked all the way across the row and now it’s
going to be the same every row chain 1 and turn and that chain 1 takes the place of
the first stitch so start working in the second stitch single crochet in each
stitch across the row and now I’m going to go ahead and work as many rows
as I need to make the smallest size ok I’ve worked a total of 6 rows and that
should measure approximately 2 inches now going to make this front section I’m
going to turn my work and I’m going to slip stitch into the first three
stitches one two and three in the next stitch I’m going to make a double
crochet in the next stitch single crochet, double crochet and this is the
pebble stitch and it consists of alternates of single crochet and double
crochet I’m working across the row making a double and a single and a
double and a single I’m going to work across the row but I’m
going to leave the last three stitches not worked into okay so that’s one two
three so I’m going to leave those not worked into and they’re the same as this
side now I ended with a single crochet so I’m going to chain two if I had ended
with a double crochet I’d begin with a chain one the next stitch is a double
crochet so I’m going to single crochet in that stitch double crochet in the
next because it’s the pebble stitch and it requires making the opposite of the
previous row I have a double so I’m going to make a single so I’m going to
continue across the row, of course if you like you could always just do single
crochet, so I’m going to work across the row alternating my double and my single so that was my last stitch it was a
single crochet leaving those last three stitches not worked into, that
means I will start with chain two and then that’s a double crochet so I’ll
make a single crochet and every row is going to be the same I’m going to
continue to do that so I’m going to work across the row and then I’m going to go
off-camera and I’ll continue to work the front of the bootie okay I’ve worked a
few more rows and this will measure three and three-quarter inches that would be approximately
baby size and I’m going to gather the toe end and so I’m just going to go back
and forth until I get approximately halfway like that and then I’m going to
slip stitch and then I’m going to continue across the row in the same way
right to the end of the row bring that through and I’ll fold the work over like
this continue to a slip stitch across the top of the bootie so just match the
stitches insert the hook through both sides and pull it through like that and Fasten off, l and I’ll come
to the back of the booty and I’ll use the yarn end and I’ll insert through
both sides bring it through insert through both sides pull the yarn through
and I’m going to work my way down the back of the booty and now I can pass a
ribbon through around the ankle section and tie it into a bow like that and if
you pair these booties with my easy baby hat video you’ll have a cute shower gift
thanks for watching bye for now
