  • Absolutely stunning! I watch the videos at least 1 time through before I start. I got my balls and canโ€™t wait to start this. I enjoyed watching now time for doing!!! Brilliant

  • I can't wait to start this tomorrow and I can already tell the tutorial will be easy to follow! Thank you so much for sharing your work with us and inspiring passion in those still learning! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿค“๐Ÿฅฐ

  • I have watched it beautiful work but to fast for me I can't keep up with how fast you talk and make the stitches but hopefully someday when I have a little more experience ๐Ÿฅด…looks fun!

  • Hi! Can you translate in Italian, please? The work seems interesting, but l want understand well. Sorry for my English ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I've been looking forward to this ever since it was first mentioned. Than you Mikey and everyone who helped with this pattern! ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’˜๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ˜Š

  • Signed up. Followed along with the video, and I've finished week one in a burgundy colour, to make for the inner core. Using solid colours to follow, so don't have to worry about self-striping. That was great – thanks for the tips about how to work out where you're up to. I actually managed to follow without having to frog!

  • Canโ€™t get the pattern it just brings me to the sign up page witch I already did and got confirmation but no email either

  • 3:44, OH REALLY NOW?
Edit: now I am singing it to the tune of "Doctor my Eyes" by Jackson Browne…. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

  • Thank you Mikey! I had to watch through the Video first thing, I've been looking forward to this since it was announced! I will get a chance to start on Week one sometime later today.

  • My major gripe with these yarns is having to doctor them for the colors to line up. I'd probably buy the yarn more often if it wasn't so difficult to find multiple cakes wound in the same sequence.

  • I have not received my pattern yet checked spam mail, and re-signed up, Have been waiting for this to start since announced.

  • Can't wait for next weeks video.
I'm doing this CAL for my husband. It will be his Christmas present.
    Thank you Mikey.

  • I love the tutorial and am excited to start. Waiting for the pattern to be sent to us. still :(. I know first world problem right? LOL – But it's 7:00 am here on the west coast of Canada and still no email !! Colour me sad ๐Ÿ™‚ Hopefully, they are not having any email issues. Happy but obviously impatient hooker here in the Fraser Valley waiting for pattern email ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Oh Mikey….you're so fine….you're so fine you blow my mind….lol….thanks for this. Just finished and looking forward to next week!

  • is the printed pattern out yet? It's 7:30am on the west coast and haven't been able to find it

  • Not a complaint, just an observation and a request… Could you please get the pattern released earlier than the last CAL; The Study of Texture Part 1? Last year, I followed along with the video and finished the week's pattern before the link for the pattern hit my email… For me that's fine, I've been crocheting for over 50 years, for others, who want a pattern to following along with the video, it's very frustrating…

  • You are so great at instructions for crocheting all the different patterns that you teach you are the best teacher I've ever seen, your videos are excellent, the information is is excellent you presentation is excellent I just love your videos please keep it up I save everyone that I read so that my little library I don't have too many yet but I'm working on it

  • Ha! I did something wrong because after the 2 in 1, I only had 5 left so i had to do another 2 in 1 to get 6. oh well.

  • just came up on web page never got email

  • Which gauge do we use the one from the pattern in the video 13sc and 14rows or the one from the download pattern of 11sc and 12rows?

  • wow, I am a 40 years crocheter and following you made my crochet techniques better and I did your afghan last year and I am doing this one this year, I gave my last year afghan to my son when he moved out on his own. Love this so much, I hold my hook just like you, I am from an Italian heritage, and when I used to go to Italy my grandma showed me all the crochet techniques, I started crocheting when I was 14 now I am 57 so lots of years. Continue your good work

  • Thanks Mikey, such a fun summer project, heading out to get my yarn for it now! Awesome! ๐Ÿงถ

  • I am in love with this project. I do have one request, the one that Wendy did, I like that but I didn't see a picture of the full afghan. I saw the others completed just not Wendy's. Would you post a compete picture of Wendy's afghan?

  • Flat Earth Afghan,Woohooo! Please watch 200 Proofs Earth is Not a Spinning ball! Eric Dubay on youtube to go with this blanket pattern XD <3

  • Really enjoyed the first part but hate waiting for the second and so on. Wish we could purchase the whole pattern

  • Ok my favorite fact food restaurant is subway I love eating there. Thank you Crystal we love you.

  • Please help am I missing it but is this the small cakes 140g or the big cakes? If so is there a cheaper way to make this beautiful blanket ty so much I love your channel

  • I donโ€™t typically get on the crochet along train but the title caught my eye and I did some of my own research on the layers of the earth and I found a correlation someone made regarding the 7 layers of the earth, and the 7 colors of the rainbow ๐ŸŒˆ I watch your first week before getting my yarn ready and decided I got this โค๏ธ the first week is complete in a vibrant red and I canโ€™t wait to start week 2 in orange.. so far this is an amazing project and pattern is not too fiddley ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Mikey, you taught me to crochet and I will forever be in your debt โ™ก you push me even farther into debt with you with these amazing cals.

  • Week 1 is done! Thank you Mikey for giving us fun projects to make. I always look forward to your CALโ€™s. Excited for week 2!!

  • I loveeee this!!! What a cool pattern! ๐Ÿคฉ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ I'm doing Paisley Pop

  • As a guy, I feel somewhat uncomfortable when I hear I have to dig my fingers into the centre of the balls.
I'd rather fondle balls. I'd fondle yours too, if you're up for that.

  • The flora Afghan is going so slow. I'm so happy to do something while I'm waiting. Kinda wish it wasn't another Afghan, but this one looks like it is just for decoration.

Question: if this is Earth, why corners?

  • What an awesome video! Thanks for making and i can't wait for next week! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„

  • You are my favorite teacher by far! . It is great to match your kind face with your handsome voice and nimble hands. You produce excellent videos. What is your name ?

  • I am using yarnbee sugarwheel color all-a-seirl/9 and Art# 43, crochet hook 8. I'm thinking I'm going too need more then 10 balls because there is only 355 yards per cake.

  • This looks great. Iโ€™m behind and I just signed up and ordered my yarn. Is there a gauge that I can try in the meantime?

  • Week one is done! I HATE doing back pots, but made it through and am excited to see some of the other stitches you have planned for this. I love all the texture!

  • "Do not throw these out" who exactly is throwing out yarn?! Let me give you my address and just send that to me!

  • I have been crocheting for 12 years and this is my very first crochet along!! Super Excited ๐Ÿ™‚

  • My first crochet along and with this pattern Iโ€™m more excited about a crochet project than I have ever been. U struggle with reading patterns so Um hoping this is going to help me up my game! Week 1 was a success! I did it!

  • Where do I sign up? I clicked on the information link but I could not find any place to actually sign up.

  • I'm behind but I can't wait to start this. Going to use Lion Brand Mandala so mine will be a bit smaller. This pattern is so amazing I just HAD to try it out. Hopefully I can catch up quick enough to complete with everyone. So excited to see what everyone else creates.

  • Finally got my yarn today. Iโ€™ve never used Bernat Pop, but I love it so far. It feels softer than Caron Cakes and will be so cozy to snuggle up with!

  • Okay! I am hooked. I already have 2 projects on the go but I canโ€™t help myself, I am going to join you on this….the geek in me is totally in! Iโ€™ll look at my stash and figure out my own combinations. I think my husband will commit me if I buy any more yarn! I canโ€™t wait to see everyoneโ€™s projects! Greetings from Canada!

  • I love this itโ€™s so beautiful. I am going to use the snow queen. I wanted to know at what row did you stop doctoring the colors? Thanks you for another great video. I canโ€™t wait for my yarn to arrive so I can get started.

  • I would love to make this but it would be scrappy from my stash. To buy 10 of those cakes would be $150 in Australia. Even if Iโ€™ve mucked up the number required itโ€™s still pricey. My stash is large enough that I could match colours as it seems very important to the overall theme. Better finish a UFO or ten first tho. ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜•

  • I just signed up yesterday and got one email that โ€œIโ€™m inโ€… but where can I actually get a look at the written pattern youโ€™re referring to in the video. I only keep finding videos…

  • Is it wrong/weird that I just want to let the yarn do what itโ€™s going to do and not manipulate the colors too much? Iโ€™m using the Blue Blaze and I think Iโ€™m going to just go with the flow … but worried I might regret that later. :/

  • hi every one am back again my cancer still with me found out I got coloman cancer but I be ok mikey hi am doing this but in red heart yar I cant afford the other yarn

  • Mikey. I have been moving (big move) so I haven't been crocheting or knitting or sleeping. But today, just to catch up started watching "the study of texture" blanket. I have missed your posts. Can't wait to get organized, find my yarn and get busy on a new project.
