Crochet Cable Stitch Leggings | Pattern & Tutorial DIY

for this project any category three
yarn will work but I used a quarter skein or 242 grams of baby bernat
sport yarn in baby taupe as for tools a five and four millimeter hook scissors
stitch markers and a tape measure there’s an optional written pattern that
can help out to link in the description if you’d like to grab that and follow
along or watch to the end of the video to find out how to enter this week’s
giveaway we’re using five stitches for this project and they will be as follows
chain slip stitch single crochet half double crochet treble crochet double treble crochet this tutorial is
for a size small but you can adjust it for your size and we explain how to in
the video so let’s get started getting these bottoms started we are first going
to grab our category 3 yarn make a slipknot we’re going to grab our 5
millimeter hook and start off by making a chain that is the height that you guys
want your waistband to be and I want my height to be about 2 inches or 5
centimeters and that comes out to about 8 chains once when we have our chain
what we’re going to do from here is block off that last chain do a chain up
of 3 and then we’re going to go into every chain that we have with one double
crochet so we’re gonna prepare for a double crochet insert our hook into that
loop that we blocked off with our thumb or the fourth loop from our hook with a
double crochet and there is our first one and we’re just gonna keep putting
one double crochet into every loop that we have going all the way down once we
make our way to the end we’re gonna do a chain up of three flip I work and then
from there we’re gonna be doing back loop double crochets but I’ll show you
guys how to do that and also why when we get there now that we’re at the end of
our first row what we’re gonna do from here like I said is to a chain up of
three we’re gonna flip our work and then we’re gonna prepare for a double crochet
and then go into every loop that we have only going in through that back loop so
that we can get a really pretty ribbing effect for this waistband but that’s
basically it for this section we’re just going to be putting one back loop double
crochet into every loop that we have going back down our work once we get to
the end to a chain of up three flip our work and continue doing back loop double
crochets and this is going to come out to be the length of our waistband so
we’re going to keep doing this until this length reaches the widest
measurement of our hip so I’m going to keep going until I have thirty four and
a half inches or 88 centimeters and then once we have that we’re going to seam it
up and then we can start working on the bottom details so we are back and we
have the entirety our waistband all finished up and like I
said in the previous clip I have a total of thirty four and a half inches 488
centimeters and that came out to 59 rows and then once when we have this entire
length what we’re gonna do is just seam up the two ends that we have together so
it forms a circle and then we’re just gonna go in with a single crochet along
the length of our waistband that we have but right now we’re just going to seam
it together it’s going to be pretty simple since our hook is already into
one side of our work we’re gonna be inserting your hook into the corner that
we have on the opposite side I’m here we’re gonna yarn over pull through
everything then once we have that we’re going to go into the next available loop
into the front panel and in the next available loop in the back panel and
then single crochet let’s do one more together insert into the front panel and
then the back panel and then single crochet and then we’re gonna keep doing
this until we don’t have any more loops left to go into and then we’re just
going to go around at the row of single crochet but since we’re almost there
we’re just gonna stick together so that we can do the next bit to get there and
here is our last one now once we get here we’re going to do a chain up of one
and then we can start going in with our row of single crochet and this is going
to be super easy we’re just going to be going in with two single crochets into
each of these side double crochets so let’s just do the first one together
into this first side double crochet row that we have we’re gonna be pulling in
with one single crochet and then into that same loop choose single crochet and
we’re just going to maintain that going all the way around so go ahead and put
two single crochet into every side double crochet row that we have and then
once we make it back to the end we are going to slip stitch into that first
loop that we made for ourselves so we’ve made our way all the way around with our
first row of single crochets along the length of our waistband and what we’re
gonna do from here is just slip stitch into that first single crochet loop that
we made for ourselves we’re gonna insert our hook yarn over pull through
everything and now our work is closed up for this row and from here we’re just
going to go straight into working into our cabling detail that goes all the way
down the side of our leg and that’s gonna be the first thing that we do so
what we’re gonna do from here is actually
a chain up of two and then we are going to be flipping our work but when we flip
our work make sure that our seam is going to be on the inside so since our
seam is faced up towards us we’re just going to flip everything so that it’s
basically inside-out now we’re looking at the outside portion of the seam and
this is the inside once when we get here we’re going to start off by going in
with seven half double crochets and that’s going to be normal so we’re just
going to yarn over and insert our hook into the first available loop with one
half double crochet so there’s one two three four five six and then seven once
we have this we’re actually going to be going in with one more row of half
double crochets so do a chain up of two flip our work and then put one more half
double crochet into every loop that we have going back down the work that we
just did now that we have our second row of half
double crochets we’re going to do a chain up of two and now we’re going to
start doing our cabling so we’re going to flip our work and then now we’re
going to go in with a bunch of double treble crochets so it’s just like a
normal treble crochet but instead of yarning over twice
we’re actually going to be turning over three times so we’re gonna start off by
yarning over once two and then there’s three and then now we’re going to be
working into the posts that we have into the half double crochets that we just
made into the first row so once when we get here we’re going to be counting out
four posts in the first row of half double crochets so here’s one here’s two
here’s three and then into this fourth post we’re gonna insert our hook behind
this and then bring it through the other side and once we have this we’re going
to yarn over pull through two just as many times as we have on our hook so
we’re gonna yarn over pull through from here we’re gonna yarn over pull through
two yarn over pull through two yarn over pull through two yarn over pull through
two and we have just finished up doing our first front post double treble
crochet and as we can see we have skipped all these over here and then
into this next post that we have are going to be doing another front post
double treble crochet so let’s yarn over one two three times and then just into
that next post that we have go into that post from here we’re gonna yarn over
pull through that post then we’re gonna finish this off by doing a yarn over
pull through two yarn over pull through two yarn over pull through two and then
yarn over pull through two and this is going to be the first cross that we have
for this first row of cabling so once when we get to this guy we’re actually
going to need to go back into the first two posts that we actually skip for
ourselves so we’re going to yarn over three times because we’re still doing
front post at double trebles and then we’re going to bring our hook back into
this second post that we made for ourselves we’re going to ignore this
first one insert our hook behind this post and then finish it off just like
how we did the other ones so you’re an over pull through yarn over pull through
two yarn over pull through two for pull through two and last one pull
through two and then we just have one more left to go into in-between the one
that we just went into versus the two that we did right before so we’re going
to do that one as well so we’re gonna yarn over one two three go into that
last post that we have in between the two post sections that we did here and
over pull through pull through two pull through two pull through two and then
pull through two and like I said a second ago this is going to be our first
cross that we have for our cable stitch and then into these last two were just
going to be doing regular treble crochets this is still included into our
treble crochets because these are worked into multiples of two but this is going
to start off by just going straight up and just by using front post troubles so
we’re going to yarn over twice and then into the third-to-last we’re going to
yarn over pull through pull through two pull through two and then pull through
two that is our first front post trouble we have one more to go into yarn over
twice into that second-to-last we’re gonna yarn over pull through pull
through two pull through two and then pull through two and this is our first
little set of cabling it doesn’t look like much but it’ll look a lot better
when we go in with our next row of cabling but just to close this one off
we’re gonna yarn over and then just do one half double crochet into the last
loop that we have into this row so insert yarn over pull through yarn over
pull through two and then now this row is all finished so technically our third
row is all done from here we’re going to do a chain up of to flip our work then
into the fourth row is just going to be a row of half double crochets once into
every loop so every even row that we have is just going to be a row of half
double crochets that helps us get back to the side that we need to get back to
so that the cabling can all be on the same side once when we have our row of
half double crochets we’re going to do another chain up of two we’re going to
flip our work and we’re going to go into our fifth row which is our second row of
cable stitches so into this first loop that we have
we’re going to go in with one half double and then now we’re going to do
the same thing that we did here but just in a different order so into these first
two posts that we have in the previous cable row we’re just gonna go in with
front post treble crochets that goes straight up and down so here’s one pull
through two pull through two pull through two and since these are worked
into multiples of two we’re going to do the same thing into that next post that
we have so yarn over twice insert into that next post pull through pull through
two pull through two and pull through two and this next part may be a little
tricky so let’s pay close attention to this let’s stick together if we’re going
to start doing our double troubles again we’re gonna be skipping these next two
and then going into the third and second-to-last putting one into each of
those this part is normal so we’re going to pull through two pull through two
pull through two pull through two and we have one more to go into so yarn over
three times into that second-to-last post
pull through two two two and then two and from here we need to go back into
these two middle posts that we have skipped but instead of crossing over in
front like how we did in the first row we’re actually going to be going
underneath and working into this gap that we made for ourselves so let’s do
that together slowly we’re going to yarn over three times we’re still doing
double treble crochets and from here what I like to do is keep my finger
underneath these two posts that we’re gonna go into just so I can visualize it
once when we pull our work down so that you can see where we’re going into with
these gaps and then from here make sure you place your finger onto your hook
making sure that your yarn overs don’t fall off but we’re gonna go into that
first post with a double treble so yarn over pull through we’re just going to
finish this one off like normal so pull through two two two two and now that we
have that first one we’re gonna do the next one as well but the next one should
be a little bit easier to see since we already went into the previous one so
yarn over three times pull your work down just a little bit and this
is our second one that we’re going to be working into so insert your hook yarn
over pull through pull through two pull through two pull through two and pull
through two and then from here we’re just gonna finish this off really
quickly we’re going to yarn over insert our hook into that next available loop
with a half double crochet and this is what our work should be looking like so
far we have our rows of cabling and then half double crochets in between so
basically into every odd number row we’re going to be repeating rows three
and row 5 that we just did and then into every even-numbered row it’s just going
to be half double crochets just to get us back to working on this side we’re
gonna do one more set together and then from there I’ll let you guys go all the
way down to length by yourselves so start this off again
we’re going to do a chain up of two flip our work and we’re going to be going in
with one half double crochet into every loop going back down our work once when
we’re here we’re going to do a chain up of two and flip our work and since we’re
in the seventh row we’re going to be repeating row number three so we’re
gonna start off by doing a double treble so yarn over three times we’re going to
skip the first two posts that we have and we’re gonna go into the two middle
posts with our double treble so pull through pull through two pull through
two two two one more time yarn over three times and then into that next post once when we have that cross we’re going
to have a portion that crosses over so we’re going to yarn over three times and
go into that first post that we ignored because we did skip those first two
posts with a double treble and then also into that next post that
we have into this section and now we have our cross over here and
then into these last two posts we’re going to go in with a regular chuckles
so just yarn over twice and go into each of those posts put in one front post
travel now that we have that we are at the end of our row and at the end of
every row we’re just going to put one half double crochet into that last loop
to close it off and then we’re going to go back doing half double crochets until
we get to the other side now that we have our half double crochet
row we’re going to do a chain up of two and work on our ninth row which is
exactly like the fifth cable row that we did so from here we’re going to put one
half double crochet into that first loop and then we’re going to start off by
putting two treble crochets into the first two posts that we have so we’re
going to yarn over twice insert our hook behind that post with a treble and we’re
going to do that one more time into the next post then now that we have that we
are going to do our cross overs so we’re working into our double travels again so
yarn over three times skip the next two loops and go into the third to last loop
with a double treble and also into the last post as well and once when we have this we’re going
to be doing a yarn over of three we’re going to place our finger behind the two
middle posts that we have we’re going to fold our work downwards and then insert
our hook into these next two posts so make sure you hold your yarn down and go
behind that next post with a double trouble and then we have just one more
post left to go into so let’s do that together yarn over three times and that
is it once we get here we’re going to put one half double crochet into that
last loop and we have just finished up doing two sets of our cable stitches so
like I said really quickly into every odd number row it’s going to be a cable
stitch and then every even number is going to be half double crochets but
we’re basically just going to be repeating the third and the fifth row of
cable stitches all the way down until you guys have the length of the leggings
that you guys want keeping in mind we will have a bottom cuff as well so go
ahead and work all the way down and then I’ll meet you guys back to let you know
how many rows and the measurements that I have as well so we’re back and we have
just finished up what’s going in with one of our cable details on one side and
we’re actually going to need to do the same thing that we have here on the
other side I’ve already spaced mine out but we’ll talk to you guys about that in
a little bit I was gonna show you guys what it’s looking like but yeah I
actually kept going until hit a total 7 g8 rows and that came out to a total of
30 inches or 77 centimeters keeping in mind that we will have an ankle cuff as
well but we are going to want to do the exact same thing on the other side so
all I did was just folded my work in half and then I counted out the amount
of loops that I had on one side and I went all the way around did the same
thing on the other and just made sure that I had the same amount of loops on
both sides while maintaining those eight loops that we need so that we can go in
with our detail and I have already done all that work on
my own and then from there we can just go in with our row of cable stitch
details and I’m not gonna go in with the cable stitch details with you guys cuz
you guys and just head on back further in the video but I mean given you guys
have done a bajillion of these so I’m sure you guys already know you’re doing
but what I will say is that we just want to make sure that our seam is still
facing the inside because we want the seams to be on the outside so all we’re
gonna do is just flip it over insert our hook into where our stitch marker is do
a chain up of two and then start off with half double crochets and then go on
with the pattern from there and then keep going until you guys have the same
amount of rows slash measurements of you guys have on the other side and then
once we have that we can actually go in with the actual leg portion so that this
is wearable and then we can close it all up call it a day so we are back and we
have just finished up going in with both of our side cable stitch detailing
portions along the sides that we have and now we’re going to start working on
the bulk of the leg portion but right before we start doing that we’re
actually going to need to find the middle point between this corner of the
cable stitch to this corner of the cable stitch and then once when we have that
middle point I already have my stitch marker in there
we’re going to be working back and forth with back loop slip stitches until we
reach that middle point cut and tie here and then do the same thing along the
side and then eventually same thing on the other side as well so just let you
guys know from this point to this point I had a total of 52 stitches and my
middle point just so happened to be 26 so that’s where this stitch marker is
into and then if we did it correctly it should be the exact same way along the
other side and then once we have that we can start going in with our first row of
single crochets so going in with our first row of single crochet we’re going
to turn our work just a little bit because we’re going to be working along
the length of the cable stitch detailing that we just made for ourselves and the
first thing we’re going to need to do is insert our hook into this first
available loop that we have that’s we’re right next to this detailing we’re gonna
insert our hook into there insert our yarn onto our hook we’re going to pull
through and then we’re going to chain out one to secure it on in
and then from here we’re going to be working into a bunch of side half double
crochets so from there we’re going to be alternating between one to two single
crochets into each side half double so let’s just do the first few together
this is the first row that we have obviously it’s tied half double so we’re
gonna go into there with two single crochets so into that first loop there
is one single crochet into that same loop here is two and like I said we’re
going to be alternating between two to one so here is our next side half double
crochet row right here into that one we’re only going to be going in with one
single crochet let’s do another set together this is our next side half
double so this is going to be two single crochet and this is our next side half
double we’re going to go in with one single crochet and we’re just going to
keep alternating like that going all the way down our work no once we make it all
the way down to the end I’ll meet you guys back so that we can get started on
these slip stitches we’ve just made it all the way down with our first row of
single crochets and once when we get here the rest of this portion all the
way up until we get to our stitch marker that’s in the bottom band is actually
just going to be a bunch of back loops slip stitches so we’re just going to do
the first year together I’ll let you guys go along the length and I’ll show
you guys how we’re going to connect it into the base so all this is we’re going
to do a chain up of one once when we get to the end over here every time we’re
going to flip our work and into this first back loop that we have we’re going
to be inserting our hook with a slip stitch so that’s just a yarn over and
pull through everything let’s do that again insert our hook into that next
back loop yarn over pull through everything
next back loop yarn over pull through everything we’re just going to keep
doing this all the way down until we get to the base and then I’ll show you guys
how to connect it into there and a really quick tip that I have for you
guys is make sure that when you guys are going in with your back loop slip
stitches now once when you guys pull it all the way through you guys aren’t
pulling your work down tight because if you guys do it’s going to shrink up the
entire link that we just went in for ourselves and that’s not what we want so
just keep a regular grip while going all the way down and then I will meet you
guys back once when we’re ready to connect it into the base so we just made our way all the way back
up with our row of back loop slip stitches it doesn’t look like much but
once when we go in we’re gonna get really pretty ribbing effect but now
that we’re here we’re just going to insert it into this next available loop
that we have into the base so all that is is slip stitching into that next loop
we’re gonna yarn over pull through to close off this first back loop slip
stitch row and to work our way up to the next row we’re going to slip stitch into
that next available loop flip our work and now we’re going to be working along
the length again with more back loop slip stitches and so let’s just do the
first one together and stir your hook into that first back loop yarn over pull
through everything and that is basically it so go ahead and keep going down with
back loop slip stitches when you guys get to the end chain up one flip your
work work our way back up and then once when you get to the base you’re going to
slip stitch into that first available loop that we have in the base to close
off that row and then to get to the next row just slip stitch up one flip your
work and then go back down to the back loop slip stitches we’re going to keep
doing that all the way down until we get to our stitch marker which is right in
between our two cables and they were actually going to cut and tie and do the
same thing on the other three sides that we have but I’ll meet you guys back just
to remind you guys how to do it one more time okey dokey so we are back and this
is what we should have so far we have our cable detailing sorry I forgot what
doesn’t say we have our cable detailing right here and then also our back loop
slip stitches that went from the side of our cabling all the way to the middle
point in between our two cable sections it’s just unfold this so you guys can
see this is basically what it is right now and then from here we’re actually
just going to do this three more times we’re gonna have a total of four of
these slip stitch panels but once when we’re done two panels all together I
hope that makes sense but it’s all gonna be done the same so I’m just gonna talk
you guys through it and I’ll let you guys do the rest on your own so
basically how I started doing this set off is that we’re first gonna insert our
hook into the next available loop that we have into the base that’s right next
to one of our cable stitches and then into each of these side half double
crochet rows that we have going all the way down our cable stitches we’re going
to be alternating between one single crochet and two single crochet
we’re gonna keep doing that all the way down and then from there the rest is
just going to be a bunch of back loops slip stitches so that this can stretch
nice like just like that and then or this when we get back all the way up to
our base we’re just gonna slip stitch into the next available loop that we
have in our base to close off that row and then to work our way up to the next
row we’re going to slip stitch up the next available loop and work our way
back down with more back loop slip stitches going all the way until the
middle point and then we’re gonna do the same thing on the other side and then
once we have both of them done we should have two sides that are pretty much
completely done and then we just have little knickknacks and seaming to do and
then we are all good so turn on a movie listen to some music if you guys are
turning on a movie or listening some music let me know what you guys
listening to but go ahead and do all that and then I’ll meet you guys back
one soon we have all of this done alright so we are back with both of our
legs pretty much all finished as you guys can see these are stitch markers
our cabling detail that’s on the side and then stitch markers slip stitches
cabling on the sides slip stitches on the other side and now we’re actually
going to go in with connecting the inner seam and I’ve already marked some of my
spots off so I’m just gonna talk to you guys about that really quickly it’s
gonna be the same on both sides but we’re just gonna take a look at one so
taking a look at one of our seams as you guys can see from the bottom portion all
the way up until I have my stitch marker this is where my first little bit is and
this is going to actually be a very similar way that we’re actually exactly
the same way that we did our other tights with pockets I’ll have that
linked somewhere and also in the description but we’re actually just
going to be going in with single crochets all the way up until we hit a
certain point this is definitely going to be different for everyone but all the
way up until we hit a certain point where this can reach around our calves
or it could be around your knees it all depends on you guys and it starts to get
pretty tight and you don’t want it to be too tight to where it’s stretched out
like this you still want it to have a little bit of give so that it is
wearable so you guys get to pick and choose where that is on you for me this
is about a little bit higher than mid-calf
and I actually from the bottom all the way up until the stitch marker I have a
total of 39 loops and that came out to about 8 inches or 21 centimeters but
this is gonna be different for everyone like I said so go ahead and play around
and figure out what feels right and secure on you as well but once when we
have this stitch marker in we have one more stitch marker to insert and that is
actually going to go from this portion and then from here this is all going to
be open because this is going to be where the connector is right here is
where I stuck this stitch markers so how you’re gonna want to do this is put this
on and then figure out how high you want your leggings to be do you want them to
be high-waisted you want them to be low-rise that is completely up to you
but right where your legs separate we’re gonna be inserting our other stitch
marker and then once when we have that we’re first gonna be going in with this
seam over here right but once we have that we’re just gonna keep going back
and forth from this top stitch marker down to where we’ve just finished off
our bottom scene where a calf or knee wherever that is and then keep going
back and forth with a little I guess triangle section but that’s just to help
the thigh portion stretch out a little bit because I definitely bigger than the
rest of our legs say our calves ankles and stuff like that so we’re going to
get that started together and that’s all gonna be dependent on you guys as well
oh wait I actually didn’t give you my measurements for this this measurement
is actually very close to the one on the bottom from this first loop that I have
where the base is all the way down to where I stuck my stitch marker I
actually have a total of 35 loops and that’s a little less than 8 inches or
about 20 centimeters so you guys go ahead and figure this part out for
yourselves as well just make sure that everything fits you the way that you
guys want it to fit you because that is the whole reason of this channel making
sure that y’all gets a crochet the way that y’all want so once when we have all
that we’re first going to be flipping our work inside out because we are going
to be going in with a seam from the bottom up to this first stitch marker so since we have our work flipped inside
out what we’re going to do from here is just insert our hook into this bottom
corner into the front panel and also into the bottom corner into the back
panel insert our hook onto our work pull through to a chain above one to secure
and then from here we’re just gonna work all the way down until we reach our
stitch marker doing single crochets making sure we going through the front
loop and the back loop at the same time our front panel and the back panel at
the same time sorry so let’s just see this next one together we’re gonna
insert our hook into the first available loop in the front panel and also into
the next available loop that we have in the back panel and from here we’re going
to single crochet that closed and that is basically it we’re just gonna be
single crocheting all the way down and then once we hit our stitch marker we’re
going to chain up one and cut and then we’re going to get started on the five
portion so I’ll meet you guys back once we get to the end of this okay so we are
back and we have just finished up seaming up the entirety of the bottom
portion that we have and we have cut and tied and now what we’re gonna do is go
into that little triangle portion that I was telling you guys about so we’re
gonna get started on one side from where our stitch marker is we’re gonna go down
back up to the next stitch marker and then keep going back and forth like that
until this portion expands wide enough to fit your thigh so as you guys go you
are going to need to try this on to make sure that it fits you guys and I’m sorry
it can be a little tedious but it’s worth it because it’s not cute so the
way that we’re gonna start this off is we’re gonna keep doing back loops slip
stitches I’m going to insert my hook into this side I don’t live with it I
didn’t need to but I do it anyways insert our hook into this first back
loop that’s right next to the stitch marker insert our yarn onto our hook
we’re gonna pull through from here we’re gonna do a chain up of one and then
we’re gonna continue doing back loops slip stitches going all the way down
until we reach this middle point right here we are going to slip stitch into
this loop so that there’s no gap in between this middle seam and also this
little triangle portion that we’re currently doing and then once when we
come in with the row after that we’re going to be doing some decreases so go
ahead and do our back loop slip stitches until we hit our seam all the way at the
bottom so now that we here we just have one
loop left right before we go into that seems we’re gonna insert our hook into
that last back loop or also gonna be inserting a hook into that first loop
that we have that’s in our seam and then also we’re going to be flipping our work
is gonna sound a little crazy we’re also going to be calling into this first
available loop that we have right here making sure that we’re going in through
that back loop from here we should have technically three loops on our hook
let’s not hold that over because I can be confusing here’s one here is two and
then once we have all of this on our hook what we’re going to do is yarn over
and pull through everything just like that and now we are eliminating that gap
that could have been and from here we’re going to go in with back loop slip
stitches going all the way back up until we hit our other stitch marker and then
from there go ahead and just do a chain up of one flip your work and then come
back down leaving three loops so here’s one two and three we’re going to be
doing a decrease of three into here and then we’ll go back up the other way and
then that is the rest of the pattern just keep doing that decrease of three
in the middle so go ahead and do all that and then I’ll meet you guys back we have just made our way all the way
down to this inner corner and like I said we’re going to be doing another
decrease of three so we’re gonna insert our hook into this first back loop yarn
over pull through into this next back loop this middle back loop should be
looped that we made while we went into our seam in the previous row yarn over
pull through and then into the loop right after that and from here we’re
gonna have one two three four we’re gonna hear an over pull through all four
loops and that is our decrease then from here we’re just going to put what are we
doing one back loop slip stitch into every loop going back down to our stitch
marker and then that’s basically it we’re just gonna keep going back and
forth like that while maintaining this decrease in the middle so that it can
expand for the thigh but not for the knee or wherever you guys inserted this
first stitch marker and then you guys can just I’m sorry but keep trying it on
until it fits around your thighs and then once when it does I’ll meet you
guys back to let you guys know how many rows I went into what it ends up looking
like then also so that we can seam it up do the other side and then just seam up
the middle connecting portion add a drawstring called a so I’ve just
finished up going in with our inner thigh portion as y’all can see I already
have one side all done and just let you guys know I have a total of fourteen
rows from where we started down to where I ended but like I’ve said in the
previous clip yours can be more or less that all depends on you guys but once
when we have this all we’re gonna do is just seam up the inside by single
crochet into the front panel and the back panel at the same time once we get
all the way down and we don’t have any more loops left we’re gonna do a chain
up of one and cut so this is gonna be the same way that we did it the caf
portion we just want to make sure that all the seams are facing the same side
well all we’re gonna do is insert our hook into this next corner since our
hook is already within our working yarn from here we’re gonna yarn over pull
through everything and then we’re gonna insert our hook into the first available
loop in the front panel and then into the next available loop in the back
panel and then we’re gonna single crochet let’s do this just one more time
into the first available loop in the front panel and then into the next
available in the back panel and then single crochet we’re gonna keep doing
this all the way down until we don’t have
any more loops left once we hit that we’re going to cut and tie and then do
the exact same thing that we did over here along the other side and then I’ll
meet you guys back we’ve just finished up doing our second
leg and what we’re gonna do next it’s actually seam up this gap that we have
right here and this is going to be fairly simple all we’re gonna do is
basically take these two ends that we have and hold them together and we’re
just going to do a single crochet seam just like I’ve done everything else
going all the way down and then once when we get to our I guess our thigh gap
area that we made for ourselves with this little triangle we’re going to be
going into there as well with more single crochets so we’re just going to
go all the way down it’s going to go underneath and then up and around the
other side all with one strand of yarn using single
crochets so we’re just gonna get this started and then we’re gonna work our
way all the way down until we get to this little thigh gap that we made for
ourselves and then I’ll meet you guys back just so I can show you guys what
we’re gonna do and then we can move on from there so to get this started what I
like to do right before we insert our hook into the first loops that we have
in the front and the back panel I actually like to go into the first loop
that we have for this band portion so into this loop that our front panel is
in that’s in that single crochet row that we did when we first started this
piece and then also into that other loop that the other side is in just to make
sure that there’s no gaps up here at the top and then also we’re going to do the
same thing on the other side as well but once we have that we’re gonna be
inserting our hook inserting our yarn pull through and then from here we’re
gonna chain up one to secure and then now we can go into the first available
loop that we have in the front panel and then into the next available loop that
we have into the back panel just like that and then from here we’re going to
single crochet close but since I’m here I am going to be weaving in my tail ends
as I go so all the talents that I have I’m just going to lay it over the work
that were about to go into and we’re going to single crochet like normal and
then as you can see our tail ends are nicely woven into our single crochet row
but this isn’t necessary you guys can go in later if you guys want but from here
we’re just going to continue doing the same thing so into this next available
loop in the front panel we’re going to insert our hook and then
the next available loop in the back insert and then from there we’re going
to single crochet and then we’re just going to continue to do that all the way
down until you reach this little thigh gap portion and then I’ll meet you guys
back so that I can show you guys what we’re going to do from there okay so
we’ve just single crocheted down one side of our tights and now we’re just
going to go underneath where the thigh portion is and all we’re going to do is
just put one single crochet into each of these side slip stitch rows that we have
so it’s going to be fairly easy and we’re doing it that way so that we make
sure that we’re not closing in too tight so that it still has that stretch that
we gave ourselves when we went in with all of these rows so from here it may be
a little tricky but we’re just gonna be grabbing these two side portions right
here and then from here we’re just gonna be inserting our hook into this first
row that we have on the front panel what we’re gonna do is just go once into
that front loop and then once into the first row into the back panel that we
have right here so that is this one I’m going to insert our hook into there we
just want to make sure that we’re going into the same row both in through the
front and the back and it could be a little tricky but basically we’re just
gonna be inserting your hook in through the ribbing row once in the divet
ribbing row once in the divot and make sure that’s going into the same row on
the back half and then we’re going to single crochet all the way underneath
and then from here we’re actually just going to work our way all the way up
with more single crochets closing up this portion and then we’ll meet each
other back so that we can slip stitch into the base that we have so that we
don’t have any gaps just like how we started and then we can do the cuff and
then the drawstring and then we’re all done so we just made it all the way
around with our single crochet closing up this middle connector and all we’re
going to do is insert a hook into any one of these loops that we have in our
base which just so happens to be the single crochet row that we did right
after we did our band just to make sure that there are no gaps so just go into
the closest loop we’re going to iron over pull through chain up one and cut
and then from here go ahead and grab your four millimeter hook and then I
will meet you guys at the of our types so we are here our work is
so close to being done we just need to go in with our bottom border now and we
are going to be going in with our four millimeter hook and our work still needs
to be flipped inside out so that once when we go in with our final seam all of
our seams will be facing in the same direction but once when we have done all
of that we are going to be making a slipknot and then I like to insert my
hook where the seam is along the inside of our pant leg I’m going to insert our
yarn onto our hook pull through chain up one to secure and then from here we’re
just going to put in one single crochet into each of these side slip stitch rows
that we have sew into this first if it will be one single crochet into this rib
will be another tip it will be another rib will be another and we’re gonna keep
doing that all the way around including going into these loops this is going to
be regular just put one single crochet into each of these loops as well and
then once when we make our way all the way back around we’re gonna slip stitch
into this first loop that we made for ourselves and then we’re going to go in
with the length of our cuff now that we’ve made all the way around with our
first row of single crochets now we’re going to make a chain that is going to
be the length that we want to our ankle cuff to be and for me that’s going to be
about 4 inches or 10 centimeters and that comes out to about 20 chains but
you guys go ahead and adjust it for your liking once when we have our chain this is
actually going to be exactly the same way that we did the body portion so
we’re just going to get it started off together and I’ll let you guys go from
there but what we’re going to do is block off
that last chain do a chain up of one insert our hook into that loop that we
blocked off or the second chain from our hook with a slip stitch so we’re gonna
yarn over and pull through everything on our hook go ahead from here do one
that’s not a slip stitch put one slip stitch into every loop that we had going
back down our chain once we make it to the end we’re going to slip stitch into
that next base loop and then we’re going to go into the next base loop with
another slip stitch flip our work and then go in with back loop slip stitches
for the remainder of this cuff portion so I will meet you guys back at the
bottom of this chain we’ve just gone all the way down with our row of slip
stitches and now we’re just going to slip stitch into the next available loop
that we have into our base we’re gonna put one slip stitch in there to close
off this row and then slip stitch up into the next loop that we have in our
base to work our way up to the next row flip our work and then from here we’re
gonna go in with back loop slip stitches so into this first back loop insert yarn
over pull through everything and this is exactly the same way that we did our
pants portion so go ahead and keep doing this all the way around until we don’t
have any more loops left to go into once we reach the end we are going to meet
each other back so that we can seam it up together we just made our way all the
way around with our cuff and what we need to do next is just seam up the two
sides that we have so since we’re in this corner but it doesn’t matter if you
guys are in this corner it’s all the same all you’re gonna do is insert your
hook into the first available loop that we have in the front panel and also into
the next available loop that we have in the back panel and then single crochet
is exactly the same way that we have seemed up pretty much everything else so
far so go ahead and keep doing this all the way down and then once you guys
reach the end go ahead and do a chain up of one and cut and then you’re going to
do the same thing on the other side so I’ve just finished up doing both of our
cuffs and we have flipped everything inside out and one
last things that we have to do is actually just make a drawstring that’s
gonna weave in and out of our band that we made for ourselves and just let you
guys know I made a drawstring that was a hundred and forty five chains or that
came out to about 43 inches or a hundred and eleven centimeters and then the way
that I’m going to be inserting this it’s super duper easy we’re just going to
take our hook insert it in between any one of these two double crochet rows
that’s somewhere near the middle we’re gonna pull through and then from here
I’m just going to skip one insert my hook into the one after that and then
pull the rest of this through and we’re gonna keep doing that all the way across
our waistband then once we have that the last thing that we have to do is just
weave in all of our ends our ends are woven in and this is our new favorite
pair of tights all finished up we’ve been wanting to do a cable stitch pant
