CFTV Episode 3 – Norton Hook and Loop Sanding Discs

Hi, Joe Glavin with City Floor Supply and welcome to episode 3 of our video log. Today we’re going to discuss Norton’s Hook and Loop abrasive technology. Norton’s paper discs are the traditional sanding products for rotary or random orbit sanders. They typically come in two sizes. Most commonly for the flooring industry, 5-inch and 6-inch, or 125 millimeters and 150 millimeters. Norton Hook and Loops’ 5-inch and 6-inch random orbit abrasives are available in a variety of hole patterns. Whether you have the traditional 8-hole or a 5-inch, you can use the universal pattern, which does a 5-hole or an 8-hole. Norton’s new addition to their Hook and Loop line is Multi-Air. As you can see, this pattern allows for the most dust pickup on a random orbit sander. Regardless of the size or the hole pattern, adding or removing an abrasive disc from a hook-and-loop sander is very easy. For the broadest selection of abrasives with the lightest stock removal on wood, sealers, or finishes, choose Norton Hook and Loop for your next project.

  • Has the backing of the "newest edition" sandpaper changed? I am having problems with the disks flying off after a few hours of use. (Even on a brand new Dewalt replacement pad) I have been painting for over 17 years and have never had this problem until now..
