  • @shalomkaplan I would suggest to hold the crochet hook loosely and not so tight. That will help prevent your thumb from hurting.

  • I am left handed but do not hold the yarn this way nor loop the yarn that way. Been crocheting for over 50 years so not changing now.

  • Im right handed and struggled to teach my left handed friend to crochet. When I taught him the chain, I was going into the 'hump'.. and he was having so much trouble he gave up. You show us the easier way, but it leaves a messy first chain row. This time Im going to show him your video instead… to stop my brain hurting. lol Screw the neat first row, he can learn it this way.
